About me
I am a Professor of Mathematics at the School of Mathematics of Universidad Industrial de Santander (Bucaramanga, Colombia). Also:
My mathematical topics of interest are noncommutative algebra, Hopf algebras and tensor categories.
I was a Postdoctoral Fellow (2023-2025) at the Department of Mathematics of Universidad de los Andes (Bogotá, Colombia), where I worked with Dr. César Galindo.
I obtained my doctoral (2023), master (2019), and bachelor (2016) degrees in Mathematics at Universidad Nacional de Colombia (Bogotá, Colombia). My doctoral advisors were Dr. Chelsea Walton [Rice University] and Dr. Armando Reyes [Universidad Nacional de Colombia].
I am a Fulbright Scholar: I did a one-year research visit (2021-2022) at Rice University [Houston, TX, USA] funded by a Fulbright Visiting Student Researcher Scholarship.
I held a Teaching Assistant Fellowship (Beca Asistente Docente) at Universidad Nacional de Colombia (2017-2023).

I have experience in data science and coding in general (C+, Python, SQL, etc.), and I am an active contributor to Moovit, OSM, Wikipedia ES and Wikipedia EN. My hobbies include amateur programming, photography, cycling and traveling.
